UCLA Strategic Partnerships and Community Engagement (SPCE) cultivates meaningful relationships with community organizations, schools, civic groups, and corporate partners to expand knowledge and understanding of competitive college admissions among talented students from a wide range of backgrounds.

SPCE serves as a bridge between UCLA and communities across California, offering innovative, accessible programming for students and families. Through on-campus, off-campus, and virtual experiences, SPCE primarily engages 8th–12th grade students who have faced barriers to educational opportunity—including those who are first-generation college-bound, from low-income households, in foster care, living in rural areas, or attending under-resourced schools—while welcoming all students and families interested in learning more about UCLA and higher education.

SPCE programs engage and equip students and families with the knowledge and tools to navigate the college admissions process with confidence and clarity. These experiences are designed to inform, inspire, and help participants understand what it takes to be a competitive applicant—especially to UCLA.
